Rules and Regulations
All participants must adhere to the following rules during the event:

1Exit from campus is strictly prohibited from the day of hostel check-in until the conclusion of AARAMBH-2025.

2Hostel Discipline: All students must strictly adhere to hostel rules, including scheduled in-time and out-time. Daily attendance must be submitted as per the prescribed protocol.

3Zero Tolerance Policy: As per UGC regulations, ragging in any form, including physical, verbal, emotional harassment and/ or use of foul language is strictly prohibited. Discrimination based on gender, caste, religion, region, language, or background will not be tolerated. Any violation will invite immediate disciplinary action as per university and statutory norms.

4Wearing an ID card is mandatory for all the students including the volunteers.

5Cooperation with Volunteers: All students are expected to cooperate fully with the AARAMBH volunteers and adhere to the instructions and guidelines provided by them throughout the program.

🎯 Orientation Week
Orientation includes campus tours, academic advising sessions, social activities and ice-breakers, information sessions about resources and services, club and organization fairs, welcome ceremony, technology setup assistance, and sessions on college life skills and safety.
While most activities are highly recommended, some sessions like academic advising and safety briefings are mandatory. Social activities are optional but strongly encouraged as they help you meet fellow students and build connections that will enhance your college experience.
🏠 Campus Life & Facilities
The campus offers a wide range of facilities to support student life and learning, including well-equipped libraries, computer labs with high-speed internet, sports complexes, student hostels, and dining halls. Common rooms within the hostels offer spaces for relaxation and socializing, equipped with indoor activities like table tennis and more to keep students engaged. Additionally, there are counseling services and event venues to enhance the overall campus experience.
The campus is designed to be student-friendly and walkable, with clear signage and pathways connecting all major buildings. Most academic blocks, hostels, dining areas, and recreational spaces are within easy walking distance, making it convenient to get around.
The campus is equipped with 24/7 security through trained personnel, CCTV surveillance, and controlled entry/exit points. Hostel wardens and the Student Affairs team are available for support. Emergency protocols are in place, including medical aid and evacuation plans. The campus prioritizes student safety with a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or misconduct.
The campus offers a wide range of fun and recreational activities, including cultural nights, open mics, sports tournaments, movie screenings, festivals, and club events. Fun sessions are organized frequently to help students unwind, connect, and showcase their talents. From indoor games like table tennis and carrom in common rooms to interest-based clubs and casual hangouts, there's always something exciting happening to keep the campus lively and engaging!
🏠 Accommodation & Housing
We offer various housing options including Twin and Triple shared rooms, apartment-style housing for seniors, and specialized floors for international students. All rooms come with basic furniture, internet access, and utilities included. Some buildings offer air conditioning and premium amenities.
Newly admitted students must be inside the hostel premises by 11:30 PM; hostel gates will be closed at 12:00 AM sharp. Team Aarambh members must return to their rooms by 1:00 AM, unless they have explicit permission to stay out later from the Head - Student Affairs. Attendance must be given during the dinner break. ⚠️ Important: Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and use of any narcotic substances are strictly prohibited anywhere on the campus of JKLU, including hostels and outdoor areas. Electrical appliances such as irons, straighteners, etc., are not allowed inside hostel rooms. However, students can use the common facilities provided in the common room, which include a fridge, microwave, stove, and iron for everyone's convenience.
There is one laundromat on campus that operates through a dedicated mobile app. You can book machines, check availability, and get notified when your laundry is done. Please note that each wash requires payment through the app.

🍽️ Dining & Meal Plans
We have multiple dining halls offering four meals daily: breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. Vegetarian meals are included, while non-vegetarian options are available separately on a paid basis and kept separate from vegetarian food. Vending machines are placed throughout campus, and the cafeteria is open with delivery services available for hostels.
Students can choose from various meal plans ranging from 10 meals per week to unlimited access. Meals are accessed using your student ID card, and unused meals can sometimes roll over. Flex dollars can be used at campus eateries and convenience stores.
